During the last budget the Finance Minister, stated, that there are no backward states, only badly managed states. Resources are allotted equally on the same parameters, but a few states, especially the southern states are leading in many aspects.
Tamilnadu is one of the leading states in Auto Industries, Education IT, Corporate Governance and Law and order. Undoubtedly the large pool of HR and our leaders have played a great role in steering the states to such an envious position. A Partnership summit was held on Jan 22 &23 at CII Chamber Chennai.
Management is all about converting theories into practice, interacting with eminent personalities on a one to one basis and learning from the leaders. Our management seized the opportunity and sponsored 32 students in all, for the summit, as under,
- SVCCAM - 8(including 1 Staff)
- SVIITM - 6
- AIM - 17
During the course of the summit the delegates were impressed with such a large representatives from Sri Venkateswara Group of Institutions.
The Aim of this Summit was to increase the trade between India and other foreign countries.
The Eminent Speakers were:
- H E Surjith Singh Barnala, Governor of Tamil Nadu.
- Mr. M.K Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister of TamilNadu.
- Mr. Anand Sharma, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry.
- Dato Sri Mohd Nijib bin Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia
- H E Mohammed Nasheed, President of Maldives
- Mr.Venu Srinivasan, President, Confederation of Indian Industry.
The Highlighted points by the Speakers were:
- India has emerged as one of the top most developing countries in the world.
- India and China contribute more than 50% of the trade and of which India was the largest trading country
- India is more interested destination for investors out of all other countries.
- India’s Literacy rate of 76% is very impressive.
- Tamil Nadu is the top most state in India producing more graduates to cater the nation.
- Trade does not depend upon race, culture, language but it depends upon humanity.
