Logo   CII

1. Education without a well groomed personality is like a flower without fragrance. At Venkateswara we don’t treat the students as a bunch, but as an individual entity who needs personalized grooming, so we chip of their inhibitions and add strength to their skills and talents." All of them become synonymous with the word excellence". Out bound training is organized at regular intervals helping students to inculcate qualities like commitment, leadership and team work. Experts from private and public sector undertakings, MNC, autonomous bodies and outdoor programme are invited to expose students to the real life situations and to help the students in achieving a high degree of excellence in theory and practice.

2. The Sixth Innovation summit was organized by the CII on 17th and 18th June at Hotel Taj residency. It was a two day event where the most eminent Speakers from the top corporate houses assembled to share their experiences and suggest innovative methods adopted by them in various fields. 35 members who included 3 Staff and 32 Students from the college participated in the event. The Chairman along with his entire family too participated in the summit. The participant fee of the class toppers were sponsored by the management

3. The Summit offered a chance to listen and interact with some of the leading innovators from the corporate. Excerpts of a few speakers on what they stressed are enumerated below:-

Mr.Gopalakrishnan :- the present CEO of Infosys needs no introduction. He emphasized that the economic downturn and the proliferation of the middle class formed the core in the hub of innovation in the recent past.

Mr.Ravi Venkateswaran:- Chairman , Microsoft ,India Pvt Ltd. It’s essential to sharpen own thinking. One must adhere to the dictum of "Doing well by being good" .He narrated the example of reverse innovation, where in a multiple point server has been designed, thus highlighting that the cost of a computer should no longer be a barrier for computer access.

Suhas Gopinath, Founder, CEO and Chiarman of Globals Inc, once the youngest CEO in the world drew applause for his candid innovations that lead to his success." He has assured our chairman of taking five students on board for the project cum placement. He is likely to visit our college for a seminar cum guest lecture in the next academic year.

Mr. H K Mittal :- Adviser and Head national Science and Technology ED board, narrated the definition of business by a six year old student at US of Business which was “Business is Providing service to others”.

Mrs. Sudha Krishna Murthy: Being impractical” are of her secrets of success. She was impractical at many a times including marrying Mr. Narayana Murthy when he was unemployed. One will continue to remain the employee if he follows the “9 to 5 “Syndrome.

Mrs.Kiran Bedi:- Still continues to be energetic as in her in prime days. She always thought that the policing was a social energizing and service to the people. She master minded the "Galli School" concept, which was full of drug peddlers and mafia’s and shoed them the path to a new life. It has now been converted into a “community college” That is the power of innovation.

One of the conclusions drawn was, several economies around the world, including India, are emerging from stunted growth rates to explosives economic growth over the past two decades. Though the stellar economic growth has created wealth and optimism for a better future in certain sections of the society, larger parts of society are being left behind without the benefits of the economic growth. The growing disparities in income, opportunities, benefits, access, rights, etc… are posing several social challenges across the country. This ever increasing disparity has encouraged governments, civil society and intellectuals to push for more inclusive growth that can be sustained both socially and economically. Apart from for the social challenges, the economic growth itself may not be sustained if we are unable to include the larger population, thus limiting the potential for continued growth” Hence inclusive growth is essential both socially and economically.

Our students had the opportunity of interacting with the elite crowd during the session and the luncheon sessions. It was innovative in all aspects. Thanks to the Management, once again for not only supporting the students but also for encouraging us by their presence in Bangalore.
