VISIT INFOSYS CAMPUS MYSORE
JUNE 19, 2010

Logo   Infosys

Powered by intellect, driven by values is the punch line of Infosys, Win in a flat world are some of the captions that don their website. A visit to their head office in Mysore is always a source of inspiration and motivation for the students.

Many of the nuances of leadership and motivational theories are taught to the students in the class, but when the same is applied by a corporate entity and that too from the leaders of IT in globe "Infosys it is definite to have a different perception and connotations.

Infosys "seeing is believing". Mr.P.C.Chidambaram during the visit, said that "It is difficult to believe that I am in India". That is the ambience, culture and the discipline adopted by the Infosyians. Our former Prime Minister A. Vajpayee had this to say from the campus "IT is not Information Technology but India Tomorrow"

Our students spent one full day at this campus. They were lucky to spend a day and attend "spark program" designed exclusively for the students. Everything in this great institution is so well organized. All the employees and the visitors who walk invariably use the pedestrian path; Queue is the norm even while you move to the food court, Cycles are used extensively to prevent pollution and ensure physical exercise and above all the entire Campus is free from dust .A sense of discipline, integrity, security, values, excellence and time management is imbibed into the employees. No wonder it is Jewell in India’s crown. Our Students have vouched to emulate the culture of Infosys.

The entire trip for the innovation summit and Infosys program turned out to be an educational trip cum industrial visit. Every minute and penny spent during the visit was worthy its weight in gold. The trip was economical, as our complete stay was in youth hostel which caters for a short stay at a minimal cost. Students concession was used to hilt which ensured that the “the students cut the coat according to the cloth”. The entire trip was educative and our students are innovative.

Our sincere thanks to Cdr.K. Velu Chairman, who constantly encourages the students for all outbound programs, primarily to bridge the gap between the academic and the corporate world.
