| Executive and Faculty Development Program

| Very recently Sri Venkateswara Group of Institutions has successfully conducted four days’ Executive/Faculty Development program from 4th May to 7th May, 2011. Participants from 38 organizations from Tamil Nadu, including MBA institutes and Industries, took part in the program. Indian stock market and financial derivatives; Case pedagogy; Competency mapping; and Statistics in social and behavioral research were the four different topics delivered consecutively on four days. Dr. P. Govindarajan, Associate Director, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Chennai; Prof. M.R. Tripathy, IBS, Hyderabad; Mr. Asish Sen, DGM and Head-Balanced Score Card, HPCL, Mumbai and Dr. D. Nag, Advisor (Statistics),Finance department, Government of West Bengal were the four eminent resource persons in the program. Every day a combination of education and training methods were used by the experts, which included audio-visual presentations, interaction and group exercises. The participants were provided with course materials, both hard copies and soft copies in CD. Commander K. Velu, Chairman of the institutes was very keen to take care of all the participants and resource persons throughout the program. He was a constant source of inspiration for the organizing team. Majority of the participants (ranging from 76-84 percent) have found the programs very effective and useful for their personal as well as professional development. |
