India is widely regarded as one of the original cradles of human civilization. The Indian culture and ethos are recognized for its multi-faceted and insightful originality. The ancient Indian texts are respected worldwide for their path breaking experiments in areas as diverse as religious, philosophy, economics, science and astronomy.

Cultural programmes in the form of dance, corporate fashion parade when performed on the stage in front of a large audience help the students to build their confidence, talent, innovation and team spirit. In fact it was observed that those hail from rural background overcome the inhibitions in such events. They mix around freely, express their views and display their hidden talents.

The cultural show was a part of the college day function. Debates, singing, solo and group dance and corporate fashion parade were dovetailed in the function. Mr.Venkatesh of II MCA was the undisputed king of the floor among the males while Ms. Sardhamani stole the show with her graceful steps and the famous Binnaca smile.

Many of the students in the corporate fashion parade could have easily walked the ramps in any soap opera's/corporate event. The ultimate aim of any function in SVGI is confidence building, talent recognition and student empowerment. It was also befitting farewell to the outgoing students.
