The 1st and 2nd year students of sri venketeswara institute attended the 2 day seminar and student convention on 0ct 12 and 13 held in Chennai. Around 80 of our students were present for those 2 full days and the event participation was excellent. Among our students were also 14 volunteer students who took full part in arrangement for the seminar by staying in Chennai for 3 days before the actual convention and helping the organizers in all details of the programme.
On October 12 , all the students registered at the counter at 9 am and were ushered into the auditiorium. After the inaugural session , the business session-1 took off with the topic “the changing consumer” and “the emerging digital world”. The afternoon session had the topic “the rising customer power” and the innovation imperative. This was followed by a special session on “transition from student to manager”. The evening session set everybody ablaze with the big debate on “in today”s intensely competitive world, sales and consumer promotion spends more than branding and advertising investments, contribute to building businesses.
On October 13, the morning session was started by the BUSINESS PLAN competition and the judges gave a critical evaluation of the biz plan which was finally selected. This was followed by the paper presentation on NEW AGE MARKETING- strategies to beat the emerging marketing challenges. Then there was a special session on THE POWER OF IMAGINATION followed by question and answer session which was well participated by our students and faculty alike. The MASTERMIND programme on the best manager was a wonderful affair and was very interesting.This was finally followed by the valedictory session and awards ceremony.

On the whole the occasion was a thorough learning experience for all the students accompanied by our 2 staff members, Prof. Anto and Mr. Nitesh of our MBA department. |
